C is for Coffee Cup Gallery: A-Z Blog Challenge

We have a small collection of sentimental coffee cups. Some are hand-made. Some were special gifts. Others were purchased from places we’ve traveled or favorite places we’ve lived. Unfortunately, they’ve been stuffed in the back of my kitchen cupboard for years, rarely seen or used. When I told the hubs I wanted a better place to keep them he suggested hanging them on the kitchen wall. I took his idea one step further and created a coffee cup gallery, framing each mug as a piece of art.

All of the frames were thrift shop finds that I repainted to look. . . less thrifty. After arranging and hanging them I mounted simple hooks from K-Mart in each one and hung the mugs. Now we use one of them almost every day. Mission accomplished.

What creative way do you use to display your collections?

  1. Hi Abi,
I recently found your post of coffee cups on the wall. I am moving my home office to a new room in the house. I LOVE this idea. I work from home as an affiliate marketer and as an independent distributor for http://tastysofias.myorganogold.com/products/
my espresso and coffee mug collection will be a wonderful addition to my calendar and vision board wall. Thanks for sharing. If you are ever interested in adding coffee to your store – just let me know. It’s Simple and Easy to add. Coffee is the 2nd largest commodity and is rapidly beating out all my other sales. Peace and good business to you.
